At the Surf-CheM Group, we are devoted to the synthesis and characterization of new heterostructured nanomaterials, with a particular attention on the surface properties. This allows us to study nanomaterials for different applications, spanning from heterogeneous (photo)-catalysis, energy storage & production, environmental remediation and biomedical applications.
Synthesis
- TiO2 and oxides based nanomaterials: doping and heterojunctions
- Porous materials: zeolites, MOFs, imogolite NTs, porous carbon materials
- Nanocrystals and nanoparticles (e.g. QDs)
- Magnetic nanocomposites
